Thousand Vines Winery is the result of a passion and the love of wine. Though the business may have started off as being relatively small compared to other wineries, Ten Thousand Vines has grown and now has a staff of uniquely talented people who continue that passion for wine. Here is a quick look at the people who make the winery great!

Mike Ditonto | Proprietor and Lead Wine Maker

Mike’s passion for wine started years ago through his family heritage. Family gatherings always included wine a food and his interest in making wine was enhanced by his culinary creativity. Mike’s business acumen comes from his Engineering education and from his running a large manufacturing company which he was involved in for many years prior to starting the winery. When talking to Mike in the tasting room, or taking one of the wine making classes, one can quickly and clearly recognize his passion for his art.

Anne Donohue | Wine Club/Retail Coordinator

Anne is instrumental in operating our tasting room and ensuring people truly receive special attention when they stop in to see what is new at the winery. She ensures that our tasting room has the wine gifts and merchandise you may need for yourself or whomever may be on your shopping list. Anne also coordinates the “Wine Explorer” wine club which has grown tremendously since her involvement. Anne loves to talk to people about her passion for wine and what wines she may be working on at home.

AJ Schueckler | Wine Maker

AJ earned his Introduction Sommelier certification and has extensive experience in the hospitality industry.  He has managed wine lists for some of the finest restaurants and private clubs in the Buffalo area.  He also has worked in retail wine stores and holds both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in hospitality and culinary arts.

CJ Blickenstaff | Marketing Director

CJ has a Master’s Degree in Emerging Media from Loyola Maryland and earned her BA in Communications with a Digital Media Concentration from Hood College.  She is responsible for many of the labels, forms, and images found around the winery as well as the social media and website content.  When she’s not at the winery, CJ can be found cooking and making wine at home with her husband (and kids!).  They average about 20 batches per year!

Maggie Alexander | Tasting Room Associate

Maggie Alexander brings to us both retail wine and business experience.  She has held positions in wine and liquor stores around the Southtowns.  When she is not traveling and visiting wineries, she works in the banking industry.
