Italian Montepulciano

While Montepulciano tends to be one of the more modest varietals of Italy, its short harvest period requires it only be planted in Southern regions. If harvested too soon, this grape has a greenness that can overwhelm any wine. Monte, our take on the classic Montepulciano, is the perfect pasta wine. With notes of bright cherry and a touch of chocolate and Eucalyptus on the nose, that carries into Eucalyptus, stewed cherries, dark plum and crushed violet on the palate.
