Our Story

Vintage Buffalo is a unique series of wines that pays homage to the spirit of Buffalo’s heritage while reflecting the excitement and passion of Buffalo’s renaissance. As the rebirth of Buffalo emerges with enthusiasm and vision, so do our wines.

Our City

In the early 1900s, Buffalo was a beacon of industry; located on Lake Erie, Buffalo was a hub of transport for goods between the East Coast and the Midwest. The Great Depression sparked the slow decline of Buffalo’s lofty economic status, but the region is now once again on the rise.                                                                                        Today, a rapidly developing waterfront and one of the nation’s most advanced medical corridors, located in the heart of downtown, are just two signs that this Rust Belt area is experiencing a renaissance. An increasing number of new businesses are benefitting from partnerships with the local government. Also, the region has seen increased development including the waterfront HarborCenter hockey center. Buffalo has a neighborly feel to it. Residents can gather in local pubs or top-tier restaurants. Tree-lined avenues connect residents to each other, and traffic is more manageable in the region than in larger metro areas like New York City. And Buffalo is only 20 miles away from an international tourism destination: Niagara Falls. As for those long winters, there’s excellent skiing less than an hour from downtown.                                                                                        Written by Buffalo Local Expert Paul Cumbo for USNEWS.COM

Church Street Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is produced from red grapes, however, you’ll notice the color is much lighter than other red wines. This high acid and low tannin wine offers wonderful notes of bright cherry and spice.

Ellicott Square Cabernet

Cabernet is a dry, full-flavored red wine. Our take on this classic is fruit-forward and approachable. As you sip, you will find soft tannins and a smooth finish in our Ellicott Square Cabernet.

Savings Bank Blend

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc combine in this wine to create a perfectly balanced red blend. Our Savings Bank blend has soft tannins and a fruity yet elegant flavor.

Electric Tower White

This light and crisp wine is everything a Pinot Grigio is supposed to be. Look for hints of lemon and green apple in this perfectly balanced dry citrus wine.

Lighthouse Moscato

This sweet Moscato is still, you’ll find no bubbles in our bottle. Fruity aromatics lead to a melon and pear finish in this refreshingly sweet white.

Nickel City Sweet

Our Nickel City Sweet is a delicious and refreshing blend of 55% Riesling, 25% Gewürztraminer and 20% Moscato. This wine is sweet, unique and perfectly balanced pairing well with seafood, charcuterie or even a dozen of Buffalo’s hottest wings.

Without Annie’s Barrel

This unoaked Chardonnay is creamy in texture with scents of wood, spice and vanilla. This all-stainless-steel fermented treat is full-bodied and dry.
